North Carolina Master

My clients have great style and personality! I'm not just saying that it's really true.  My latest North Carolina client continues to be a lot of fun with her eclectic taste. After doing a design for her Living Room  I was so excited when she asked me to design her Master Suite. The focus was eclectic with a global twist. I attempted to get inside the minds of Anthropologie geniuses Sibella Court and Keith Johnson. Unfortunately, we don't get to fly all over the world with Sibella and Keith. This does not mean we can't attempt the look with a few good internet finds. This Master Suite gave me lots of room to work with....yea! I was even able to create a cozy lounge area to soak up the green woodsy views of North Carolina. I think we succeeded in creating a relaxing global retreat for this client. Happy Decorating! Glamping

I have never been much of a camper. I grew up in Minnesota, so I'm more of a small cabin on the lake kind of girl....with lots I of bug spray. I keep hearing about this new trend "Glamping"...apparently it is glam camping. I must say after seeing the set up some of these pro "glampers" have I think I could become a happy camper after all. I would love for someone to purchase a MyDiab design to glamp out their airstream...that would be the ultimate project! I love the idea of a chandelier out in the wilderness. Happy Glamping! Album Inspiration

I am more than ready for things to cool off...heat waves are no fun. Looking at this iconic Dylan album always makes me feel better. It is so sweet how Bob is shrugging his shoulders and letting his lady cling to his arm. There is nothing more romantic then walking the streets in NYC on a cold crisp day. Hide Your Love Away Inspiration

I just came across this old post that I never hit the publish button on. I think somewhere last year between blogging, designing and having a baby this one never made the cut. I saw a tweet from Rue Magazine showing this old video and was instantly inspired. I love everything about the video, the song, the adorable Beatles and the mod room. It's the perfect pairing of music and interiors. I couldn't help but be distracted by the blue walls, egg chair and tufted black leather sofa in the background. Ringo playing tambourine in the recessed floor bed just pushed me over the design edge. It is just the right amount of quirky and chic for me. I just had to do a board. ~xo~ Annie

Getting Fourth Festive

One of my favorite holidays is the Fourth of July. I have great memories of hanging at the lake, grilling out, going to the local parade and watching the fireworks at night. I can just smell the charcoal and mosquito repellent now....which oddly gives me warm fuzzies. I can't wait to light up a sparkler and go ooooh aaaaah. Happy Fourth of July! Xo ~ Annie
