Officially the end of Summer has arrived! I guess that's what Labor Day weekend symbolizes to me. I am going to celebrate by hanging around in my pj's questionably late and catching up on old classic movies each night. Maybe I can convince my family to bring me breakfast in bed? Happy Labor Day weekend all! I hope you get some much desereved R&R. Xo ~ Annie
The days are getting shorter and summer is fleating. I always begin to crave the cooler weather this time of year. I want to break out my fall recipes, decor and wardrobe. I hope everyone enjoys these weekends before the kiddos head back to the class room. Happy Weekend All! Xo ~ Annie
Are you looking to get your child jazzed about this upcoming school year? Do you need to give that drab dorm a little life? Well here are my top 6 desks and chairs to get you pumped this back to school season. Happy Studying! Xo ~ Annie
I feel like doing a little cooking this weekend in honor of Julia Child’s 100th
Birthday. I will have to find some old Julia recipes and get that pleasant
aroma wafting throughout the house. Most importantly we will be sure to laugh
and have lots of fun in true Julia fashion. Happy Weekend All! Xo ~ Annie
Maybe I will give Julia's Boeuf Bourguignon a go...
I am a Pinterest nut and see a lot of adorable children's spaces being pinned. When I spotted this design it made me excited for when my baby girl grows up...yikes not many things can make me say that! Someday it will be sad yet lovely to retire the crib and select a bed. This room is the perfect balance of fabrics in a playful way. It has a dash of sophistication that says "I'm not a baby anymore". Leave it toLonnymag to do another wonderful issue. Check out the full design in the August issue of Lonnymag. Happy Decorating! Xo ~ Annie
As usual the week has just flown by. I am so excited because one of my best gal pals is flying in from San Fran today. Nothing better than spending the weekend getting all caught up with an old friend. Happy Weekend All! Xo ~ Annie
I love a dash of Americana or Union Jack in a room. You can add this into your decor with fun accessories like an accent pillow, rug, coffee table or small dish. What a great way to represent your country this olympic season. Happy Decorating! Xo ~ Annie
My clients have great style and personality! I'm not just saying that it's really true. My latest North Carolina client continues to be a lot of fun with her eclectic taste. After doing a design for her Living Room I was so excited when she asked me to design her Master Suite. The focus was eclectic with a global twist. I attempted to get inside the minds of Anthropologie geniuses Sibella Court and Keith Johnson. Unfortunately, we don't get to fly all over the world with Sibella and Keith. This does not mean we can't attempt the look with a few good internet finds. This Master Suite gave me lots of room to work with....yea! I was even able to create a cozy lounge area to soak up the green woodsy views of North Carolina. I think we succeeded in creating a relaxing global retreat for this client. Happy Decorating! I have never been much of a camper. I grew up in Minnesota, so I'm more of a small cabin on the lake kind of girl....with lots I of bug spray. I keep hearing about this new trend "Glamping"...apparently it is glam camping. I must say after seeing the set up some of these pro "glampers" have I think I could become a happy camper after all. I would love for someone to purchase aMyDiab design to glamp out their airstream...that would be the ultimate project! I love the idea of a chandelier out in the wilderness. Happy Glamping!
